March 5th Mad Science 

March 6th Bremen Town Musicians assembly 10-11am

Weekly learning  (Feb 24th- Feb 28th)

- We had a busy week this week with 100th day, pink shirt day, and an assembly to hear the words that will go with the music for the opera 

- We did many writing actives that went with all our special celebrations but we also practice identifying cause and effect

- In Science we worked on understanding Buoyancy. We worked on understanding what sinks and floats and how to change things that float into things that sink

- In math we reviewed patterns and got to play many games that allowed us to review our patterning skills

Looking forward in Grade 2

- We will be continuing to work on buoyancy and begin the think about how to make boats as we have Mad Science coming in to build Boats with us on Thursday 

- We will continue to explore the Arctic, looking at what makes the place unique 

- In Math we will review place value to really make sure we have a solid understanding of numbers before we move into shape and space 

- Were still looking at non-fiction writing and will be looking at how to write informational pieces 

- We have the Bremen Town Musicians coming to preform for us on Friday to show what a full Operatic show can look like
