Thank you all that sent in Valentine treats the class was spoiled and thoroughly enjoyed it 😀

Weekly learning  (Feb 3rd- Feb 7th)

- This week was a short week but we kept bust with many valentines themed activities
- We learnt about cause and effect and wrote about how we can find love and show love for ourselves
- We started out Inuit section in Social, looking at their geography and just introducing ourselves to the place
- We got to learn about hot and cold colours and used those in an Art project
- In Math we explored different word problems with addition and subtraction, we did a locked box today for Valentines you definitely should ask your child about it, it was so much fun

Looking forward in Grade 2

- We will continue to explore Nunavut and Inuit culture in Social

- In Science we will begin to explore liquids first by learning about their buoyancy 

- We will continue to focus on non-fiction writing by looking at cause and effect

- In Math we will continue working with word problems as well as graphing both we have started so we will continue to explore these further 

- With Pink shirt day at the end of month we will continue to work on kindness as a class
